Actor Dhanush’s father, Kasthuri Raja, on Tuesday, November 19 reacted to the viral open letter from Nayanthara against his son. As per a report published in The Times of India’s Samayan portal, the filmmaker called Nayanthara’s claims about chasing Dhanush to obtain an NOC false. He added that neither he nor his son had got any time for people who talk behind their backs.
The director reportedly said in Tamil, “Work is important to us. We are running ahead. There is no time to answer those who chase us or those who talk about us behind our backs. Like me, my son is focused only on work. As Nayanthara said, waiting for two years is not true information. He said I don’t want to talk about it.”
Nayanthara, in her three-page letter shared on Instagram on Saturday, November 16, accused Dhanush of deliberately withholding the contents of their film Naanum Rowdy Dhaan from featuring in her documentary titled Nayanthara: Beyond The Fairytale. She mentioned that the actor sent her a Rs 10 crore notice for a BTS clip that was shot on their personal devices on the set of the film, and is now a part of the documentary.
Nayanthara alleged that he had been holding a personal grudge against her and her husband, Vignesh Shivan, and that reflected in his decision to not provide an NOC to her team. The 40-year-old actor also called Dhanush a ‘tyrant’ and a small-hearted person who doesn’t practice what he preaches in his speeches during film events.
Dhanush has not spoken on the issue yet. Meanwhile, the actor’s documentary is streaming on Netflix.
